Pretty in Paisley

Topshop jacket (really want this camo version), Lulu's dress, Mango shoes, House of Harlow bag
(Sorry for the redundant posing in the pictures.) I wore variations of this outfit a couple times the past few weeks. The weather here hasn't decided on fall or summer temperatures yet...which I'm fine with because I'm secretly scared of my first winter here in NYC.
I can't believe the school semester is almost half over...how crazy is that? I feel like I've finally got my schedule figured out and reestablished my sleep schedule (or lack thereof). I still am maladjusted to reading so much text instead of being in a laboratory or computer lab doing application-based projects though. Law school has about the same amount of work load as engineering, but the work itself is so very different that it took me a while to get adjusted to the new way of learning.
I'm pretty bummed I probably won't be back in Texas this Thanksgiving nor Winter Break. I'm a bit homesick for authentic BBQ and Tex-Mex but the logistics just didn't work out. I'll definitely try to be back home for a long weekend or something this coming spring though.

  1. Fall in New York sounds incredible, winter though, not so much! I have my midterms next week, I cannot believe that it's the midway point! The fall semester always seems to go so much faster for me than the spring one.

  3. Very cute dress, I like the print a lot. I've been in NYC for almost 2 years now since I left Austin and I still miss the Tex-Mex food! Going to Austin next weekend for ACL so I'm super excited. Hang in there, the NYC winter won't be as bad as you think it is. :)

  5. Oh I didn't know you were from Texas! How exciting! I grew up in Houston for a bit before my family had to move me back to California (originally from California). I've always wanted to go to New York - it would make sense since my major and lifestyle would best fit in New York. I hope you rest some more! I absolutely love your outfit!

  6. I never knew that combining a print dress with military jacket would look so pretty together!! One of my wish list is to travel to NYC one day. (Although I'm like thousand miles away!) But there's nothing wrong with a little dream right? :)
