BB Dakota trench, Zara skirt (similar from Mango), Ann Taylor shirt (sample sale from when I worked at LOFT this summer, similar here), Mango heels, Bodhi bag, secondhand + Jeweliq bracelets
I guess this outfit is a tad bit crazy with the print and the sequins; I was playing around with textures but tried to keep the color palette simple.

I can't believe this week has passed by so quickly! I had the fortune of getting the most amazing people in my assigned group. We've been having get-togethers almost every evening to take advantage of the last week before law classes officially start. I keep thinking this week how absolutely lucky I am to actually love the people in my assigned group as I will be having the exact course and orientation schedule with them for the rest of this school year.
I've also been working on a little photography side project that's totally unrelated to fashion blogging. Once it's somewhat more presentable I'll link to it.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! On Friday night I had a little fun girls' night in complete with manicures, Thai food, chick flicks, and chocolate chip cookies... now I'm off to get groceries and finish reading the rest of my assignments for the first day of class.

Love how you styled this! The jumble of textures and neutral tones look so pretty.

DeleteNo! There is no way you over did it with the pattern and sequins! I love that you did this, go big or go home!
ReplyDeleteThank you Alissa!
DeleteI love the way you can combine your sequin skirt so easily. I want to make one myself but I have no idea how I should wear it. The sequins and the pattern are a perfect match!
ReplyDeleteSame problem voor a sequin black blazer I own...

I wear this particular skirt all the time! It goes with chambray button down shirts, a black rock and roll tee, a striped boatneck, a turtle neck sweater in black or beige, military button down, a silk blouse in cream...the list goes on!
DeleteThe neutral palette definitely makes it all much sleeker. But, do you know what, I love a good sequin and I say 'palette be damned! I SHALL wear sequins regardless'. Ha! But then you always look far chicer than me. Best of luck with all your project - what a busy lady. x
ReplyDeleteI love that sequinned skirt! The neutral tone is perfect for daytime glamour x

Naw you didn't overdo it at all! I love the whole combo of all these different textures. It was a wise choice to keep the color palette neutral!
ReplyDeleteAll the looks are stunning on you! Check out Jullien Herrera's surfing shots/video in California before he headed back to NYC for Fashion Week.

Good luck with law school. I've always wanted to take a law class or two - I think it would be fascinating. I definitely don't have what it takes to be a full blown lawyer, though.
ReplyDeletethis is such an amazing outfit! the colour tones are fantastic and I love how your gold skirt just adds some interest :) love it!!
