I actually wore this while I was working at Marie Claire this summer but didn't get to post about it until now. There's just something so summery about cream and butter tones.

Day 1 of orientation finished; I'm tired so I won't type much. Technically it's orientation week but we had a 200-page reading assignment for "orientation" and the courses during this week are mandatory 9AM-5PM so I count school as already started. I love it here thus far but I'm expecting to reverse my decision (no pun intended) at any moment after being told a billion times by other lawyers that I'll hate my law school experience. I hope that is not the case... I am that annoying person who likes to learn the material that isn't being tested and watch the History or Science Channel (or read Wikipedia science articles when there's no TV around) in my spare time.

I can only imagine how tired you are, after my week of orientation I was seriously dead and couldn't think.

Love this look! & I am LOLing about your self-descrip as "that annoying person" ;) Were you the kid who would rather read than run outside and play, like me??? My mother was often told I needed to be outside running around & she'd say, "She's content: leave her!" (said in a very strong Brooklyn accent)- so even if she wasn't an avid reader like myself, she protected my ability to do so <3
ReplyDeleteHah...as a kid I would always get in trouble for things like reading in my bed (way past bedtime)...to prevent myself from getting caught I had the ingenious notion of turning all the lights off (including flashlights) and reading by the light from the streetlamp filtering through my window. The lamp only lit about 2 lines at a time so I had to move my book up and down. I got in so much trouble when my parents found out because that reading habit is horrible for eyesight.
DeleteNowadays I barely read...which is sad. It's one of my goals this year to read more interesting books.
