So it's been a week since I've been living in New York for the Marie Claire internship (from winning the Marie Claire Front Row Challenge). I'm also staying here for school but I'll save the details for that for a post when I am not rushing out the door. I didn't get much time to blog in between getting settled in, finalizing details for school, and working so here's a brief update.
So far I'm still getting acclimated to the trains, the excessive walking, and the tiny grocery stores but I'm loving every minute of it. I think I got much tanner from all the outdoor walking...I didn't realize until I flipped through these photos.
I would post more pictures of what I do at work but I keep forgetting to ask what is okay to take a picture of and what is not (due to business and legal reasons). It doesn't help that my phone is a brick phone and takes really crappy pictures so it's either that or lugging my DSLR around town. Hopefully I'll be less lazy about taking pictures and about updating the blog this upcoming week! I hope everyone had a fantastic fourth of July and a great weekend.

You look incredible! I love the shape and pattern of the dress...I never think to pair maxi dresses with blazers but it always looks amazing when I see someone else do it. I can't wait to hear about the adventure of interning with MARIE CLAIRE!! I'm superduper jealous :)

ReplyDeleteSo happy you are enjoying yourself. Posting to Fashionably Austin to keep the locals updated too! More soon?
ReplyDeleteThank you Cheryl and Fashionably Austin for all that you've done!!! I will keep everyone updated soon.
DeleteYou look darling! I was pre-med in undergrad when I found your blog and remember you were ChemE. Funny, being from Houston and loving my independence I don't like NY for more than a week - I just left three days ago, Lol. I moved up for grad school last Summer though, please do update on your new life plan with school etc :) Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteMarthe, I actually like NYC very much! I get a little homesick for Texas some times...like when I found bottles of Texan BBQ sauce at Whole Foods...but overall I prefer compact cities like NYC to spread out ones like those in Texas. :)
DeleteI will try my best to update everyone this week when I get a chance to breathe!
Gorgeous. Just bought that bag in tan. Love it. X
ReplyDeleteAwwww that maxi dress is soooo pretty! Love the new york background!
