GoJane dress (old), Urban Outfitters jacket (old), Bodhi bag, Dolce Vita shoes

Kind of a boring post but I really liked how this floral dress looked with the ruffled peacoat. Thanks to numerous expenses coming up I haven't been able to afford much new clothes in the past few months so I've been mostly either rewearing my old favorites or hitting the thrift store. I've actually found quite a bit of goodies from my favorite thrift store here in Austin so I'm not really complaining!
The graffiti says "I adore you..." and we've been wanting to capture it for a while now but every time we passed by it, a hybrid car was parked in front of it. Now it's mostly washed off but I feel like it's perfect for the month of February. I'm not really big into Valentine's but I really like the overload of red velvet cake/cookies/brownies/pancakes recipes popping up around this time of the year as it's one of my favorite dessert options! That and the 50% off gourmet chocolate on the day after. Otherwise I kind of feel like if you love someone you should make them feel special every day and buy them presents when something makes you think of them instead of whenever a national holiday suggest you to do so. However I've be subconsciously incorporating more pinks and reds into my everyday wardrobe this month so I'm not completely immune to the holiday...

  1. This is a really great outfit, it's romantic and ladylike love te neutral colours in it :) question for you. I gather from reading your blog that you're super busy, any time management tips for fitting everything in while trying to run a blog?

  2. @Emmett: I'm not as busy nowadays as I was before I graduated in December 2011. There really isn't a shortcut for it... but if you're passionate and determined about what you do, you'll make a schedule for yourself and make it work. I found myself blogging after 12-14 hours on campus doing research or coding for class because I loved my blog and it's a fun hobby for me. :)

I would say when you're part-time blogging (as opposed to pro-blogging), try to only aim for something like 1-2 posts per week...3 max. Quality over quantity! I definitely saw a drop in my number of posts during my final semester at UT.

  7. It's back down to a high of 47F today... I actually don't like the fact we didn't really have a winter this year.
