lulu's crochet shorts, thrifted polka dot blouse, thrifted Ralph Lauren blazer, DIY-modifed Forever 21 purse, Charlotte Russe pumps, Forever 21 feather earrings and gold bracelet, Fred Flare watch
Wearing two of my newest thrifted goods. I've been on the lookout for both a polka dotted blouse and a red Ralph Lauren blazer with gold buttons for a long time now, so to find both of them in one thrifting trip was totally amazing. I'm a sucker for Ralph Lauren blazers in general...especially the ones with the embroidered logo on them. These were the shorts I tweeted/facebooked about that were similar to these ones here, so hopefully some of you guys managed to get them in either cream or black. I ended up getting another cream one since crochet is so delicate and I definitely could use a backup!
Sorry for the lack of posts in the past few days; there's been a couple personal issues I had to work out plus SXSW and Texas Style Council Conference have both been in full swing. It was so nice to see familiar faces from the Fashion Brunch last year (much smaller, 20-30 people compared to 140 people this year) as well as meet many new faces at the TXSCC. I woke up late...9:55 am for the 10 am brunch, so I basically pulled on a dress and heels instead of painstakingly putting together a decent outfit. Throughout the day I learned about blogging on many levels, met so many fashion greats, and stuffed my face with free sushi/cookie cake. Huge props to Indiana and Grechen for putting it all together! Plus, I ended up winning the $100 gift card from Lulu's for having the tallest heels (haha appropriate much?) at the conference. I was actually whispering to Joyce and Jen that I never win sweepstakes (didn't realize there was going to be two contest giveaways: one for longest distance traveled to conference and one for tallest heels)!
Today has been one relaxing day to kickstart my spring break. All I did was make and eat chicken noodle soup (lots of hot sauce on my portion ... ), exercise, take a stroll around Tim's place, nap, and play video games...

Its so awesome how you have a list of things to buy for a trip to the thrift where you'll never know what to expect, but I'm sure that must keep you from bringing home clothes you prob wont give much importance to after a while. Now thats a smart shopper :D

The color of the blazer really goes well with the patterns on your top and purse. Only you could look so fabulous in shorts, heels, and a blazer!
Love the look!!! How was the TSC??? Heard about it from The Glamourai and now you! Was in Texas but not for that. See why at Ma Vie en La Mode!

That blazer is stunning!! Seriously love it, and I also noticed in your other pictures that you have that f21 lace top I've been wanting since forever (well, or since I saw it on Emily from cupcakes and cashmere)! Thx for your comment & I already find it kind of impressive that you make that amount from your blog. Teach me how! haha :) But I certainly understand that the amount of time that you spend is not in balance with what you get out of it money-wise (it's a good thing we're not in it for that :) but it's nice to be repaid for your efforts)
