topshop top, forever 21 skirt, thrifted belt, manifest manifest necklace, asos clutch

above: my new necklace and interior shots of Dog & Pony
Despite burnt orange being the school color for both my high school and UT (whole 8 years of orange and white goodness), I have never owned a burnt orange shirt...until now. This top was bought from the clearance sale at Topshop and it's the only garment I've ever liked in this color. It does however drape weirdly about me...I think something about the cut is a little off as it keeps getting twisted.
The rest of the pictures are from Dog & Pony here in Austin the other day. I ended up purchasing the sword-in-geode necklace...sort of reminded me of the tale of King Arthur in some ways and the raw ruby attached (my birthstone) sealed the deal. As you can see, the store itself is quite a treasure trove of delicate jewelry.

I love that shade of orange, and I thought the weird draping made it even more unusual. I also love the way the hem falls, it adds depth to the silhouette when layered over the skirt. As usual, your proportions are perfect.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I'll take all of those necklaces, please. Especially the airplane and mini-harmonica. Do they have an online store, and what are the price points like?
Tiffany: the price range is about $20-200ish in terms of the jewelry... the necklace I got was more like $100 but I think the airplane piece has a lower pricepoint...I would say $50?
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit! The orange looks great on you! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the color of the top with the gold. I'm so ready for spring!

ReplyDeleteWhy American men should boycott American women
http://boycottamericanwomen.blogspot.com/
I am an American man, and I have decided to boycott American women. In a nutshell, American women are the most likely to cheat on you, to divorce you, to get fat, to steal half of your money in the divorce courts, don’t know how to cook or clean, don’t want to have children, etc. Therefore, what intelligent man would want to get involved with American women?
American women are generally immature, selfish, extremely arrogant and self-centered, mentally unstable, irresponsible, and highly unchaste. The behavior of most American women is utterly disgusting, to say the least.
This blog is my attempt to explain why I feel American women are inferior to foreign women (non-American women), and why American men should boycott American women, and date/marry only foreign (non-American) women.
BOYCOTT AMERICAN WOMEN!
I love this look! And I totally get what you mean about wearing colours from your high school....I totally still feel that every time I combine my school's navy blue and black, - I feel like a cheerleader or something! :)
