I love this coat, a beauty found at the back of a pile of dingy clothes for $10. I know I'm still going to get a whole bunch of animal-related comments but to me, vintage furs are ok.
Today was probably the first legitimately cold day in Texas and I spent it indoors making red velvet cake and molten peanut butter brownies. School is just a week away and I'm totally not caught up on sleep yet... I keep watching the science, history and music channels on random documentaries. I know I'm a geek.

I love documentaries too! They're great, but I hate admitting to watching them. :'D
ReplyDeleteThat coat looks great, and super-warm!
Ten dollars? Whoa! And now I'm craving red velvet cake and cookies. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteLove these shots. You're so natural!
mmm red velvet.. love the outfit! great deal on that coat! <3
ReplyDeleteI'm back in school in a week too. It feels like it went by so fast. But at the same time, I'm really excited; sitting at home on the internet for hours can't be good :P

My husband loves documentaries so I have grown to love them! You learn all sorts of random things. I agree with you on vintage furs!

Every time you wear that teal pashmina I remind myself to buy more of that color. Congratulations on the incredible vintage score, and on the red velvet cake too.
ReplyDeleteand speaking of history channel documentaries, there's an awesome one, "Hannibal VS Rome," On Demand (if you've got Comcast)
Tiffany: Ooooh I might have to check that out! Although Tim's got DirectTV...I just watched one on the Knights Templar and it was fascinating!
ReplyDeleteLoving the fur coat especially the braided detail in the front!! you look amazing with the floral dress and the sweater!!

that coat looks so cozy, its gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous coat! You are so lucky to find clothing like that! We don't have any vintage stores where I live and the consignment stores are filled with really bad clothing. LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit! :)
heidi: you always have to DIG at consignment stores! I usually spend an hour to find either nothing or one article of clothing. However, this coat was from a city wide garage sale.
ReplyDeleteI think vintage fur counts wholly as being eco-friendly and environmentally conscious! :) I have a similar fox fur thrifted also. Pristine condition and able to be loved for many more years. Love the look!

ReplyDeleteLove this look, every piece of it!
I couldn't wear real fur, I couldn't get this thought out of my head that it's a bit like wearing an other person's skin lol, but I agree that it's okay to wear vintage fur.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I love the soft colours in your outfit, they look amazing with this beige background! :)
