vintage dress, secondhand blazer, forever 21 belt/shoes
I've finally found the perfect elbow-padded blazer about a month ago at Buffalo Exchange after complaining for a whole year about not finding exactly what I've wanted. However I still plan on doing the D.I.Y. a commenter suggested a while back because I think I'm added to the bit of geekiness the right elbow patch can add to an outfit!
I'm currently addicted to Fuse TV's documentaries on various rock and rap artists. The two on Tupac are still probably my favorites. I'm also rediscovering the Chinese snacks I used love as a kid after a trip to Houston's Chinatown...I stocked up on mooncakes, shrimp chips and good green tea. A welcome change from my usual burgers these days...

I saw a similar blazer at H&M today. It had the elbow patches and it was gray too. I was contemplating getting it (but I'm broke!) I love the look though.

That dress is utterly delicious. Delicate nude hue, lace detailing, high necked collar... What more could a girl wish for in a dress? Love the contrast with the leopard print belt and tomboy blazer. Great post. X

You really do have fantastic legs......Just out of curiosity.....was those outfits with trousers your true style or is this more like you? These kind of outfits seem so true to your essence then I wonder why do you go for trousers sometimes?

Tashrin: I'm more of a skirts and dresses girl, not only because I LOVE how they make me feel but also because they tend to flatter curves more than pants. However, just because something's my "norm" doesn't mean I don't want to try something different some times! Thanks to this blog I'm pushed to always do things a little differently than before.
ReplyDeleteTHIS outfit wouldn't have been possible before the blog either since I was more into wearing black dresses, 80's florals, leather jackets and gothic jewelry with an occasional 50's or 20's reference thrown in... :) super verbose answer to your quick question.
I REALLY like this outfit! I love the subtle leopard print, the amazing shoes, the nude pallet, and the blazer to top it off. It's too much cuteness for one person to take in!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the lace in the blouse, the leopard print belt, the nude/grey combo, the patched blazer. OMG .....

ReplyDelete(and WOW! 99 cents is pretty awesome, we don't have that place around here, ha ha)
