Please excuse the chipped toenail polish, I wanted to save these shoes for when I actually got a pedicure but every weekend it seems like we've barely got time to eat and check off half of the to-do list before it is over so I gave up and wore these shoes anyway for a little dinner date. Tim and I badly needed some time alone after taking care of his parents for a good few months. Although we were just going to grab some pizza, play arcade games and then go to the clubs, I wanted to really dress up. 
I've been making over my closet on and off for a year now and realized that I need to start shopping for quality/versatility instead of quantity. So I've posed a semi-ban on shopping at certain stores for the next 2 months until I edit down my closet to my satisfaction. This is a good financial idea anyway for this time of the year since I'm buying all of my textbooks and engineering books are almost always over $100 for used...

  38. I love this outfit!! I wish you would've posted a standing shot of the dress though. I wanted to see how it drapes! Anyhoo, I know what you mean. I always end up spending a ton of money...on a few pretty shitty pieces. But the pieces I wear the most are the pricey ones. I guess shopping for quantity is just instant gratification :(
