vintage blazer, forever 21 skirt/blouse, amrita singh necklace, bakers boots
I've been living out of one suitcase for most of the winter break, with a few items quickly exchanged at my apartment every week or two when we go back to my apartment to check on everything. Therefore I've been effectively forced to "remix" my clothes. Also, excuse me for looking so pissed in the photos; I was sleep (and sugar/caffeine)-deprived.
In response to an inquiry about what I was cooking last night, I just made a simple pizza. I'm not much of a cook...pretty much anything requiring more than 7-8 ingredients (other than when it's stir-fry) is out of the question. I do bake pretty well though; we've been trying to experimenting with different types of cakes and brownies all winter break. Did you know that you can substitute diet coke (I like vanilla coke zero) for vegetable oil in cakes and brownies? They actually make the cake more moist and delicious after refrigeration than the full-fatted version. It's a better oil substitute than apple sauce in my experience.

Great blazer! That's a gorgeous color
ReplyDeleteYou can also substitute pumpkin (pure, canned pumpkin) into your brownie or chocolate cake mix. The pumpkin-ness bakes out, and if anything, it makes it fudgier. :D
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit, I'm loving the remixes!
omg! you can use diet coke for vegetable oil that's amazing.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in your outfit by the way.
You've worn that necklace with so many different outfits! It's really versatile. I love pieces like that :]
ReplyDeleteYasmeen
Rachel: I will HAVE to try that! I'm not a fan of pumpkin in general though...
ReplyDeleteI really like the way that you combined the colors together. I love this look.

I'm not either (not even in pie); so long as you don't eat the batter, you honestly can't taste it once it's been baked.
ReplyDeletethe experimentalist in me will make me try it at least once... I'll see how it tastes in brownies!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous jacket <3
