thrifted blouse/blazer, forever 21 skirt/belt, dollhouse shoes
I couldn't resist picking up this skirt yesterday... I'm way too predictable in my infatuation with full skirts. I remember when I was five years old and obsessed with circle-skirted dresses; I would spin and twirl around to see my skirt fan out until I fell down from the dizziness. I also would lay out my skirt around me in a perfect circle every time I sat down in preschool. As you can see from this blog, the obsession with them has carried over to adulthood and beyond. Looking at this outfit made me realize just how girly/50's housewife I looked today...I might have to rock it up or something tomorrow. :)
Thanks for the suggestions on how to wear the cape yesterday! I will look into your suggestions.

I looked at that skirt this weekend and thought it was so pretty and feminine, but I wasn't sure about the length. It looks incredible on you, and Forever 21 can thank you because I'm probably going to go get it now. I love the purple/blush tones in this outfit, and the leopard belt and pumps are perfect litte accents. Your styling is always impeccable.
ReplyDeleteTiffany: Just make sure you wear some heels with it! I think it helps a lot in terms of the long length.
ReplyDeleteI concur about full skirts. My grandma used to make me dresses when I was a little girl, complete with little aprons and everything! Some of them had petticoats under as well. There's nothing better, especially since I was a little fashion bug even back then.
ReplyDeleteI love the rose color with the leopard print shoes & belt...wouldn't have thought of pairing the two.

Cut it off!!!
ReplyDeletelovecharles: I can't!! tim likes my hair long...so does my dad, so does everyone else. I might still do it one of these days. I'm so tired of taking care of long hair.
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this outfit. Especially the jacket and shoes.
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely radiant in the last photo. Blush tone looks soo beautiful paired with leopard. Definitely going to keep that in mind next time I wear it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration and have a lovely day!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful blog and beautiful pictures. I could just go on for hours about how much I love this outfit, the colours, the textures, the shapes simply perfect.
The '50s look is awesome! One of my favorite! And those colors on you match perfectly :D Well done
ReplyDeleteI love the skirt, England is really lame at the moment for skirts, they're either insanely short or trail on the floor long, it doesn't help I'm 5ft 2, I have long legs for my height but all skirts either trail on the floor or are knee length because mini skirts are just not mini. Unless I want a knee length skirt then I can't get one.
ReplyDeleteThe entire outfit looks fabulous.
super dupe lovey the color and your skirt <3
