asos scarf, thrifted blazer, urban outfitters skirt, thrifted blouse, forever 21 shoes
(Oops so I never posted this even though it was from a while back) So the second installment of how I wore this blouse/skirt combo. I wore the first version initially until I thrifted this amazing old-school prep blazer, which inspired a change in jacket/accessories. The only thing that could have made this blazer better would have been little elbow patches...I've been looking for a blazer like so for a while now. If anyone finds something of the sort PLEASE share with me!
Which outfit is better? This one with the old-man jacket or the more rocker version with the leather jacket?
I am determined to learn all about exposure/aperture/whatnot today...tired of my pictures turning out blurry. I'm also going to try to thrift more often. I've got to start saving money for a laptop! I think the key here is to stop browsing Topshop, Asos or Etsy constantly... and therefore less temptation. However, the fact that I don't get off from work/school until way late in the evening (I had to go back to research to finish the last step at 2AM on Thursday night) and the fact that I do not have a car kind of makes thrifting difficult.

You should try DIYing on some elbow patches...most fabric stores sell them pre-cut...all you have to do is sew them on (or if you're lazy just use glue, or iron on stuff)
ReplyDeleteLOVEEEE your beautiful skirt <3

I've seen that skirt in one of your other posts. I love the versatility of it. Or you are just a really great stylist =D
ReplyDeleteYou live in Texas? The weather seems a bit more promising (fashion-wise). I'm all bundled up in thick sweaters and peacoats here in VA.
This is absolute autumnal perfection, not that I'm surprised. I love, love, LOVE tweed and blouses are my addiction of the moment so this look is basically the stuff of my dreams. X

This sweater always means I can't take my eyes off it but I LOVE it, so pretty and all, paired with a stiff nice menswear blazer, gorgeous!! I kind of like the effect of your photos :)
ReplyDeleteI love the blazer scarf combo!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the blouse with the blazer! It looks so fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThe DiY suggestion is a good one, I've seen the suede elbow patches I believe in JoAnn's... I also live in ATX and picked up a dark green cord blazer w/elbow patches from Zara last Fall. Haven't been there lately so I'm not sure if they have anything comparable this year.
ReplyDeleteThats the best thing about the fall/winter the color scheme is great. Love the outfit
