super casual

thrifted top, DIY cutoff levi's, free people oxfords (clearance), thrifted belt, amrita singh necklace, forever 21 clutch
An outfit from a while back. When I initially bought this blouse I didn't wear it for 2-3 weeks because I didn't feel like it went with anything. Now I wear it practically every week (as I do for all of my button-down, thrifted blouses)..they make a bland ensemble more chic and I don't have to worry about ruining an expensive top if I accidentally spilled bleach on it in research. Yes, quite the glamorous back story to this outfit no?
This week has been such a shit week...I don't care to go into details but let's just say Murphy's Law is screwing me to the walls right now...and I've been on the verge of crying/breaking down at school when shit beyond my control means I am no longer officially found on the UT registry...which means I can't buy Windows Office for my reformatted computer at student computer store, check out much-need textbooks, get paid for tutoring/grading, register for classes...ANYTHING. This better get fixed by the end of this week or I'm going to murder the person in the HR department that caused this mess.

  5. Oh wow, they better clear up that issue! That's a huge one!!! I am sending your all the good thoughts to help you out!!! That's kind of crazy.

Cute top. Lovely and so flattering (not that anything you wear isn't.)

  6. Before I comment on how much I love this "Casual" look of yours, I have to say I'm sorry about this really shitty thing to happen to you! That is possibly one of the most short-term (i hope!) disastrous things to happen to such a promising, enterprising, BUSY student like yourself. The thing that would stress me out the most after the financial stuff is the fact that I wouldn't be able to study from my much needed texts. I mean, talk about a complete and utter fuck up. This is terrible. Hopefully the HR person who caused this chaos will fix it and somehow make amends.

Surely you're extremely stressed out, but if there is one thing your readers can learn from your blog (other than knowing how stylish you are), is that you're incredibly resilient. You'll get through this. Schools don't let stuff like this go unchanged for long.

I love this look. I don't think it's casual at all, but you manage to make every single thing you wear look like a show-stopper.
