vintage blazer, forever 21 dress, colin stuart pumps, asos clutch
(Sorry for the kooky expressions in this series of photos...especially that smug one). I'm going to actually take the time to READ the camera's user's manual some time this week during my "free time" (haha). I need a good crash course in photography or perhaps some pointers in good dslr lenses...
This coat is definitely a favorite vintage find...and definitely over the top. I decided to pair it with something totally "maximalistic" as part of my experiment on what to wear with it. I really think this would go beautifully with a drapey (burberry-esque) light gray dress as well...or an all-black ensemble...or maybe just a white button-down and jeans? The possibilities are endless. (HERE's how I wore it the first time)(Sorry for the kooky expressions in this series of photos...especially that smug one). I'm going to actually take the time to READ the camera's user's manual some time this week during my "free time" (haha). To the people who've left comments about me being fat/chubby/overweight/etc in the past few weeks....I say (in Eric Cartman's voice): "I'm not fat...I'm just pleasantly plump." ;)

You look beautiful! I love the Eric Cartman quote ;) Whoever says your fat needs a reality check!
ReplyDeleteI love that coat!!! And great dress, got to love Forever 21... and anyone who tells you you are fat needs to check themselves and make sure there is no ounce of fat on their body!!!! I guarantee they can't judge you. You look great and not many people are willing to put their bodies and their outfits on a blog daily like you do so way to go!

you look gorgeous, love the dress with the coat, very stylish! and you are so not fat darling! you look great!
ReplyDeleteyou're no where near fat! Your stunning.

I am in love with this jacket!! It would totally look amazing with a million different outfits! As for people saying you're fat/chubby...they are obviously nut cases...plus isn't fashion blogging all about REAL women with REAL bodies showing how people dress in REAL life??
ReplyDeleteGorgeous coat! It reminds me of the Victorian age :)
ReplyDeleteDon't listen to those people! You are not fat and you look amazing!! :)
Yay finally a new post! You have been away for the longest time. Love all your outfits.
ReplyDeletemucho amor
The blazer is amazing!
ReplyDeletewhoever said you are fat is obviously just jealous and insecure about their own bodies.
ReplyDeleteyou're gorgeous and this jacket is FABulous!
Wow, I can't believe anyone would ever even say such a thing to someone! Seriously, girls can be so mean sometimes. You look great, Diya! I love the coat!
ReplyDeleteloveeeeeeee the dress <3
ReplyDeleteI love your coat - the brocade is beautiful and it's a wonderful colour.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe anyone would say you are fat. I would quote Withnail but I don't use language like that in comments. Suffice it to say they need to have their eyes (and heads) examining.
I'm a new convert - I completely ADORE your style!
ReplyDeleteAs for morons saying anything about your figure: well, they need to wake up and realise that people have different body shapes and you are beautiful just the way you are! (Also, I am so envious of your gorgeously long, long legs)
Loves.
Very cool blazer! I don't think I could ever pull it off but it looks great on you!'

ReplyDeletePeople are crazy and rude. How dare they make comments about your weight, like they even read your blog. You are so pretty and super nice. I like the brocade jacket. It looks nice on you.
ReplyDeleteGrrr... I hate that people would ever comment on someone's body like that. It actually makes me angry because they are spiteful and ignorant. I am assuming they are jealous of you. You are beautiful and perfect just how you are.
ReplyDeleteWho the hell said you're overweight?! They clearly have their own problems sadly, because that is no where NEAR the case and whose business is that anyway? The things people will say on the internet is truly sad. Hopefully girls can stop trying to rip each other apart sometime soon....
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you look gorgeous here!! I want some brocade so badly now and that dress is the hottest thing ever. Also I love the word "maximalistic"!!
ugh.
ReplyDeletewho would say you're fat???
a. they're liars
b. they're jealous
c. you're curvy not fat in the least
i hope all these comments dissing those jerk-faces makes you feel fabulous. gorgeous outfit as always :)
thanks everyone! I dont really mind being called fat...or being fat...or whatever. unfortunately/fortunately I've been teased too much of that already in middle school/high school to care...
ReplyDeleteYour vintage blazer is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe that anyone would come to your blog and say that you are fat/chubby/whatever. It saddens me beyond belief that girls can be like that, and the saddest thing is that the internet has allowed them to get away with this because I KNOW that not one of them is stupid enough to say it to your face. The truth is that they are cowards who are jealous of your innate style. I hope to God I don't actually see any of these comments because I will personally email them and let them know just how cowardly they really are...
You are beautiful, Diya. Don't let cowards make you doubt that. Ever.

I am so sorry someone said you were fat! You look amazing and I love that outfit!!!

I absolutely love your style! Anyone leaving negative comments are just suffering from that awful disease they call jealousy.
ReplyDeleteA#1- you are the opposite of fat and B#2- even if you were so what? Fatispretty fabulous too!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this outfit- I love seeing you in something as bold as you are. That coat is so beautiful and unique and looks incredible on you!!
LOVE the jacket. I think all those options you counted would look great. Especially over a simple white button down and jeans. Someone left a comment saying your are chubby!??!! I can't beleive that. I barely have the time to read the blogs so I never read others comments but that is just rude (and not true). I mean if you don't have something nice to say, just don't comment. Seriously!
ReplyDeleteYour jacket looks so good on you and your whole outfit, too! I know that when I come back here, I'm going to see another fine collection from you, Diya! :-D

I love your outfit.. you look great!!
ReplyDeletehttp://sweetlittleconfessions.blogspot.com/
awesome look.. I specially love the dress
ReplyDeleteI love your blog!
ReplyDeleteAnd seriously screw those who are calling you fat, you're beautiful!
The people who say that are usually the ones who are fat in reality, that's why they hide behind a computer and try to put others down.
Being stick thin sucks, I know firsthand, so don't ever change a thing about the way you look!
in Love with your blazer!
ReplyDeletehttp://projectinvogue.blogspot.com
Really like the long golden brocade jacket, nice addition to your outfit!
ReplyDeleteI TOTALLY LOVE THIS COAT!!!!!! Sorry - had to shout that :) I have one kinda similar - but yours is just grand. I love your style - it is edgy, feminine and carefree all at once. WOW!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I want to say - you are far from fat. Your face may be round instead of angular but that doesn't make you fat or chubby. I think you are beautiful. You take great photos.
Ignore the jealous haters!!
