(wow the lighting sucked in these pictures) I've still been running around like a headless chicken the past few days. It's STILL been super crazzzzy in between hospital visits/tests and lab reports/modeling (will have pictures if I can get my hands on some...I took more pics of everyone else than of me but I've got a couple of me with dark red LIPSTICK on!). Therefore I've basically been wearing a remix of the same 10 pieces of clothing over and over again. This blouse was worn with jean shorts to research, this skirt to fashion lunch, and leather skirt to a night out. This necklace has worn constantly since it arrived (part of the huge statement jewelry package I bought for myself as a bday present) because I'm a sucker for anything with pearls. If I look pissed in these photos it's because when the picture was taken I haven't eaten for 8 hrs and I was worried that it was going to start pouring rain. I also just spent all day running around campus trying to make sure I got an A in inorganic chem.
Now that things are slowing down a bit and I'm out in the countryside... I might actually get some decent outfit shots in? Who knows. I AM starting to plan my trip to NYC (finally!) now. Anyone know an inexpensive but non-sketchy hotel I can stay at in Manhattan? Oh btw if any of you peeps are going to the Chictopia 10 thing I'll be there!

LOVE the necklace! What a great statement piece! I need to check this designer out!
ReplyDeleteI find it so hard to believe that you were really busy when you put this outfit together. You look fantastic! I don't get to look half as good as you do when I've got a million things on my plate.

Try vacationhomerentals.com to check out a loft. They are pretty reasonable with a nice space. You can also save money by cooking your own breakfast and other meals as you see fit.
ReplyDeleteI love these colors together! Very well put together, I love this look ^.^
ReplyDeleteI love this look! The colors are gorgeous and I love the draping of the skirt. That necklace is fabulous, as well!
ReplyDeleteAnd...congrats on the A in Inorganic Chem. I hated that course!

Hey Diya!It does sound like a super busy life with everything you have to deal with, but let me tell you that I definetly admire you for remaining stylish during this kind of busy periods. You are really an inspiration for me.So I wish you good luck with all the lab work and everything else. And I must say the necklace is, oh, so beautiful.
ReplyDeletethe lighting looks fine I like the colors!
ReplyDeleteReally great outfit. Love that blazer.:)SarahD
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for some countryside shots! I love those! Yay for an A in organic Chem! That deserves some yummy food. 8 hours without food? I can only do that if I was sleeping for 8 of those 8 hours.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute skirt!
ReplyDeleteDancing Branflake: YEAH it was pretty much unnatural for me to not eat for that long...but it was a busy day and I got to break my fast with a gourmet grilled cheese so it's all good! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, it's inorganic (not organic chem) and it's harder than organic chem in my opinion!
great jacket!
ReplyDeletelove the purple and pink shades you wore! the blazer is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Hotel 57 in mid-town. I wouldn't call it inexpensive, but it's less expensive than the normal in Manhattan, and it's right near 5th avenue Tiffanys and not too far from the Met and central park. It's also really close to my favourite french café Café Mon Ami on 63 and Lexington.
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time reading your blog because the tiny font of your body content is so small, it hurts my eyes, btw.
I would love to see you in gothic, dark lipstick. I think it'll be a refreshing change. But lovely, all the same.
This seems like a contradiction in terms, but I think it's refreshing as well to only wear a set amount of pieces or lots of the same pieces, because 1. it gives you practice on how to be more versatile, 2. it's greener, 3. it's easier on the brain when getting dressed. There is something so simple about paring down and using what you have.
I've been thinking lately that I need to shop more, but then I thought, I just unloaded a whole armoire's worth of clothing to Plato's Closet and to Salvation Army, isn't it about time you learned how to keep it simple? I guess it is.
