Today: Met a lot of awesome ladies today at our weekly fashion bloggers/designers meetup... I'm totally embarrassed about how ill-dressed I am in these pictures but I had to throw something on as I'm heading out the door and pack a clutter of heels/jewelry into my tote. I had to make it to research to check on bacteria colonies before my 10AM class, and I was TOTALLY late. Anyway, I'm that lumbering giant amongst the beautifuls today... give you guys an idea of my height (thus why skirts/dresses are always too short on me... it's not completely my fault!). I congratulated myself on skipping out on research team's free pizza then gorged on some dark chocolate/hazelnut gelato after a gigantic dish of cheesy pasta.
Outfits: Both outfits are from this weekend. the dress is really old from when I used to wear more colors, pulled out from behind the closet on a particularly sweltering day and worn with sandals. I need to wear a lot of pieces much more often...
Playlist: One particular email asked what I'm listening to right this moment. As always, it's a mish-mash of genres, from Slayer's "Hate Worldwide"/ Shadow's Fall's "The Taste of Fear" to Underride's "Riot Stick" to Burn Halo's "Dirty Little Girl" to OneRepublic's "All the Right Places" to B.O.B.'s "Airplanes" to all of Postal Service's EP stuff.
In other news: I will be having a small birthday gathering with some fashion bloggers/peeps at the Cheesecake Factory around my birthday, July 22nd (mostly likely July 23rd in the evening, around 7PM). We will be dressed in old hollywood glam and pig out on cheesecake. I'm a procrastinator in planning so I STILL haven't planned it out enough to send out the official email yet... if you're in Austin and you're interested in coming out to chat, feel free to EMAIL me for details!

I am completely in love with the first outfit! xx <3
ReplyDeleteYou definitely change up your style. You're mainly girly, frilly neutrals with some punk rock style mixed in... but it's weird and yet really fitting, to see you in colours. Especially a maxi dress with THAT much colour.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good change. I hope you do it more often.
Colour looks good on our skin tones.
